CROQUET CHAMPIONSHIPS (P.A.) TIMAUU. Jan. 17. The Dominion croquet championships are being held in Timaru, four lawns being in use. The handicap singles began on Tuesday and were continued yesterday, while preliminary play in the v,'omen’s championship also started. Results: Inter-Island Teams Contest Doubles.—C. Clark, Christchurch, and A. G. F. Ross, Christchurch, 15; A. Hoenan, Lower Hutt, and Mrs. E. H. Smith, Auckland, 26 v. Mosdames A. S. Palmer, Christchurch, and Gilvcrt, Nelson. 11. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Croquet Council the following officers were elected:—President, Mr. R. W. McCreath, Gore; vice-presidents, Mrs. T. MacDonald, Auckland, Mrs. S.
