NEW U.S. BOMBER

RADIUS OF 5000 MILES SOME UNIQUE FEATURES (9 am.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 17. The Army Air Force has disclosed details of a new bomber, the Consolidated Vultee X.B. 3G, which is almost completed. It weighs over 250,0001 b. and lias an operating radius of 5000 miles, compared with the Super-Fortress' 140,0001 b. and 1600 miles. The fuselage of the new bomber is 163 ft. long. The lines resemble the Super-Fortress, but six engines are set in the afterpart of the wing and they push the machine. A transport version is being built for Pan-American Airways.
