101 YEARS OLD

WHANGAREI WOMAN

WHANGAREI, Dec. 18,

Born in Queen street, Auckland, Mrs. Annie Telfer, Whangarei, was 101 years old to-day. Ilcr husband, with whom she developed a farm from the virgin bush at Parau Bay, has been dead for 62 years. Mrs. Telfer has 118 direct descendants, including four great-great-grandchildren.

Of the original family of 12, two, both over 70, predeceased her. Two grandsons were killed in the wars and one accidentally.
