SHIPPING FEDERATION

POLICY FOR 1.L.0. TALKS (11 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 27. The International Shipping Federation, in resuming its meetings for the first time in six years, decided unanimously to expel Germany from the federation. The shipowners discussed the policy towards the preparatory technical maritime conference which the 1.L.0. has convened for November 15 and which will examine how far such matters as wages, hours, manning, leave and accommodation can be dealt with by international agreement.

Mr. Basil Sanderson (Britain) was ro-clcclcd president of the federation.
