ACTIVITIES TO CEASE
COMMITTEE IN TURKEY LONDON, Sept. 2. The Anglo-Aanerican Committee at Ankara, which since 1941 has recommended the quantities of essential civil supplies required to maintain Turkish economy and assist Turkey to resist German penetration is ceasing its work on September 9. The Board of Trade announced that future control over the export of scarce commodities would be exercised directly by London and Washington.
