VOICE FOR THE T.U.C.

BRITAIN’S FISCAL POLICY TOPIC FOR BLACKPOOL LONDON, Sept. 2. The right to take part in framing Britain’s fiscal policy is claimed by the Trades Union Congress General Council in a report which will be submitted to the annual conference opening in Blackpool on September 10, states the Daily Telegraph. The report states that the T.U.C., as representative of the interests of the work people both as producers and consumers, should be consulted by the Government in determining fiscal policy. It would be appropriate for the T.U.C. to issue annually before the Budget a statement embodying suggestions for immediate changes in tax structure and the Government’s fiscal policy. *
