REBUFF BY COURT

ARGENTINE REGIME MILITARY TRIAL NULLIFIED BUENOS AIRES, Sept.. 2. A Supreme Court rebuff to the military regime by the nullification of a recent military trial has aroused widespread speculation in view of the recent agitation that the court should oust General Farrell and Colonel Peron and take over the Government, pending the elections. The court set aside the conviction of eight retired army officers on charges of plotting to overthrow the military Government and ordered the evidence to be submitted to a civil court. The trial was sponsored by Colonel Peron in his capacity as Minister of War. He charged the men with threatening to kill the families of army officers who had refused to join the revolutionary movement and claimed that the alleged leader. General Adolfo Espindola, was a Nazi. General Espindola is regarded by the British and American communities as a friendly democratic leader. Senor Juan Cooke, a former Radical Party Deputy, took office as Foreign Minister with the announcement he would contribute to sensible elevated intentions of returning the country to normality and to Republican traditions. He described himself as a supporter of the United Nations and an opponent of neutrality, throughout the war.
