SIAMESE ARMY CHIEFS
VISIT TO ALLIED H.Q. SURRENDER PREPARATIONS LONDON, Sept. 2. A military mission under General Akdi Sena Narong, deputy Comman-der-in-Chief of the Siamese Army, has arrived at Allied Headquarters from Bangkok for a discussion on military matters preparatory to the signing of Thailand’s formal surrender Reuter's correspondent at Kandy says that although Thailand is technically at war with Britain the delegation was received as a group of visiting dignitaries and were met by Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatteil’s assistant Chief of Staff. Major-General B. C. Kimmens, and was escorted to an hotel without surveillance. The talks will begin tomorrow. Tile agenda will be the location of Thai Army units, plans for the evacuation of war prisoners, and the surrender of the Japanese by Thailand.
