SIX N.Z. NURSES LEAVE TE KARAKA REPRESENTED (P.A.) WELLINGTON. July 2 s !. Six New Zealand nurses have left the Dominion to work with the UNRRA organisation in Europe on displaced persons operations. They are Miss L. E, Taylor, tutor sister in the Palmerston North Hospital; Miss C. E. Blackwood, district nurse in Te Karaka; Miss J. M. Hirner, plunket nurse in Dunedin; Miss Alice Reid, tutor sister in the Auckland Public Hospital: Miss N. R. Barnett, plunket nurse in Hamilton: and Miss M. M. McKenzie, district nurse in Te Awamutu. The three nurses first-named left Auckland by air to-day, the other three having left for overseas earlier in the week.
