TURANGANUI PLAYERS Although it rained almost continuously during the last week-end, a number of Turanganui golfers participated in a medal competition, which was won by C. Hume with an excellent card of 7a 12—63. Taking into consideration the adverse conditions under which it was compiled, this performance must rank as one of the most outstanding of the season. Some good scores also were registered during the following day in much, better weather., the pick being: T. Ellis, 96—31 tin- J. Coutts, 91—24—67; C. Pore, 74—6 6X. A Stableford in the morning was annexed by A. Ogilvie with 3-1, points. The afternoon round resulted in a tie,'between C. Pere and T. Smiler, each having .scored 37 points.
