BLASTING BY ALLIES TACTICAL "FORCE BUSY LONDON, Jan. 21. The weight of the Tactical Air Force was yesterday thrown into operations designed to slacken V —2 attacks on Britain, says Reuter’s correspondent on the Western Front. The weather enabled the Tactical Air Force to fly only 400 sorties, but at least half of these were aimed at V—--2 targets. Trains believed to be carrying rockets to The Hague were blasted wherever they could be found. Railway lines running from Germany to The Hague were cut in 16 places. The pilots scored direct hits on a vital railway junction in north Holland. Eight locomotives and 22 railway trucks were destroyed for the loss of seven planes. The Berlin radio says: “The Germans are evolving new plans for laying down ‘carpet’ V—bombs on London, which is still No. 1 priority target.” ____________
