The public gallery of the Police Court was crowded this morning when Martin James Eyles, aged 44, seaman-waterside worker, appeared before Mr. J. L. Miller, S.M., charged with murdering Charles Edmund Swain in a shooting affray on December 29. The police obtained a remand until January 15. The police at present, are concluding a search i'or empty and live shells allegedly secured by the public on Iho
day ot the affray as souvenirs.
