King’s.—A story of the gay life at the run of the last century is screened in the Toehnicolour film, “Heaven Can Wait,” which is now showing at the King’s. Gene Tierney and Don Amcche are in the principal roles, and they are supported by a big cast of wellknown artists, including Charles Coburn. Marjorie Main, and Laird Cregar. Playing the role of an heiress who is having her first taste of the brighter side of New York life Gene Tierney accepts the love of the irresponsible son of a rich New York family. Regent.—“A Guy Named Joe,” MetroGold v/yn-Mayor's new approach to drama, is art ranting big crowds to the Regent . The season has been extended until Thursday next. Spencer Tracy and Trene Dunne are brilliantly teamed in this remarkable film. 'The supporting programme is excellent. Majestic.—“ Gunner George,” in which George Formby joins the Secret Service, just for fun, to reveal the sunny side of international affairs, may he recognised as an invitation from the Motherland to “pack up your troubles” and get a laugh out of lib* again. The associate feature, “The Singing Hill,” is bright with action and songs by Gene Autry, Mary Lee, ami Smiley Burnette.
