CALTAUX BEATS DANIELS MELBOURNE, Jan. 2. The New Zealand welterweight, Vic Cal-t.-iux, lOst. 7Mb., knocked out the Victorian. Jackie Daniels. Hist. 71b., in the (eleventh round of their match here on Saturday night. Daniels was well ahead on points when he was caught with two right swings, the second of which dropped him across the ropes Ho was counted out before he recovered. The bout was Caltaux’s third in Australia. The New Zealander lost to both Vic Patrick and Tommy Burns on technical knock-outs. Although Daniels is not in the class of Caitaux’s two earlier opponents, he was a warm favourite for the light.
