Sports Clash Avoided
As a result of a. conference between the Hextoil-Taruhei'U Sports Club and the Gisborne R.S.A. social eoimnittfce; a clash of: sports dates has been avoided and ah arrangement entered into which will benefit both the out: right patriotic funds of the district and the building fund of-, the „ ex-service? men’s associatioh. .Both bodies had intended conducting- public sports gatherings on Anniversary Day, January 29, and the decision is that they will combine" to doubie v the attraction for the public ahd ihcrease the efficiency of the organisation. The Gisborne showgrounds has-been arranged for, in view of the likelihood of the function being beyond the capacity of other grounds in the district.
