REPUBLICAN REVERSE? ARMY OFFICER’S CLAIM (10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 31. The British United Press’ correspondent m Barcelona reports that the military commander of Catalonia, Lieut.-General Moscardo, claims that Spain has been completely cleared of hiding parties of Spanisli Republican and Maquis members who crossed the frontier from France. The last groups of Republicans are stated to have withdrawn to France after the Spanish Army launched an offensive last Friday.
