WORKMAN DROWNED

BARGE OVERTURNS

(P.A.) DUNEDIN, Jan. 17. Entangled in a rope after being flung from a capsizing gravel barge at the Wainori dam on Saturday, Mr. Francis William Carroll Shuthowski, aged 33, also known as Frank White, was, drowned. The barge overturned and sank forthwith, but all the other workmen were pulled out. When the deceased’s body was recovered it was found that the rope had fouled both his legs.
