SABOTAGE IN FRANCE

BARRACKS BLOWN UP ACTION BY~GUERRILLAS (9.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 7. Guerrillas at dawn yesterday dynamited Roche barracks, Grenoble, killing at least 100 German soldiers, states a report from Zurich. This was a reprisal for the Germans’ refusal to return 500 Grenoble hostages who had been sent to Germany. The Tribune de Geneve’s correspondent says that the guerrillas previously sent emissaries with a white flag to the Germans and told them that if the hostages were not returned, sabotage would start on an unprecedented scale.
