CAPTURE REPORTED

U.S. PRESIDENT’S SON NAZI REPORT SCOUTED (10.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 23. The White House and the War Department are without information concerning reports from Berlin that a son of President Roosevelt was shot down and taken prisoner during an air raid on Germany. Which of the President’s sons is claimed to be a prisoner is not stated, but Major Elliot Roosevelt is the only one in the United States Air Corps. Mrs. Roosevelt said that she had received word a few days ago from Elliot who was then all right. The War Department spokesman said that the story was probably untrue.
