TOLL OF NAZI SHIPS
EIGHT SUNK; 15 DAMAGED BATTLESHIP HIT (10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 15. The crew of a Swedish steamer, which was in Gdynia harbour during; the American daylight raid last Saturday, say that a 10.000-ton German "pocket” battleship disappeared after several direct hits, but it is not known whether she sank or slipped out of the harbour. Eight other ships were sunk and 15 damaged. The Gestapo headquarters were wiped out by a direct hit. .
