JEAN BATTEN'S BROTHER (Special Correspondent..) (9 a.m.) LONDON, July 15. Mr. John Batten, brother of Miss Jean Batten, and formerly chief announcer at IZB Auckland, has been temporarily released from the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve to appear in a film, “For Those in Peril,” which is now being made at Ealing studios. The story is by the late Richard Hillary, author of “The Last Enemy.’’ Mr. Batten is serving in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve as a dental mechanic.
