FAKE GERMAN APPEAL

NORSE PATRIOTS' RUSE (10 a.m.) LONDON, July 7. Although the Germans denounced it as a forgery, an appeal purported to be signed by the Nazi commander in Norway, General Falkenhorst. exhorting German soldiers not to desert to Sweden, has caused a sensation in Norway and Sweden, states a Stockholm report. Copies of the appeal were posted up in houses, walls and trees in Oslo at night. The document appears to be the work of Norwegian Patriots, comments The Times’ correspondent in Stockholm, but it is far from being clumsy as the Germans arc trying to make out.
