SOVIET’S PRIORITY NEEDS REQUESTS TO AMERICA (10 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 12. A lcase-or-lend agreement adjusted to Russia’s new needs is now beiug worked ont, says the Washington corresnomlent of the New ”Vork Herald* Tribune. , , It is learned in Washington that the Russians have asked for more food, industrial machinery and machine tools which she desires should be given top shipping priority, indicating that Soviet production has reached a stage where her needs oi finished war materials are diminishing. Russia has also asked for raw materials, steel armour plate, aluminium, copper, chemicals, explosives, communications equipment and transport vehicles.
