YARDING OF OVER 7300
TWO-TOOTH EWES 26/9
A yarding of more than 7000 bead of sheep attracted strong competition at the annual sale held at Tiniroto on Tuesday, NVairoa and Gisborne buyers making a total clearance of the offering. Bidding was brisk, the demand being exceptionally strong for five-year-old ewes, while twotooths maintained their values. The sheep were yarded in good order.
The top price for two-tooth ewes was 267 9d secured for 231 on account of Mr. F. Moricc, while six-year-olds from the same
vendor reached 16s. Brices for some o( the live-year-olds were:—One hundred ami eighty-eight. Law Bros., Ms Hi; 3M, P. Richardson estate, 13s Id: 308. Mr. .J. Berry. 13s Od. A pen of 306 six-year owes from Viscount Doneraile realised lOs Gd. Wether prices included: -Four hundred and sixty-one two-tooths, P. Richardson estate, 22s Id: 117 two-tooths, Law Bros., 20s 9d: 171. Viscount Doneraiie, 20s 3d. Smaller two-tooth weth'ors ranged from 17s to 18s 9d.
Lamb prices included a small line of forward wether lambs from Mr. G. Noble* Campbell, 16s Gd and 65 from the sairu vendor at 13s Id. No top lines of ewe lambs were offered, medium shorn lambs realising 11s 9d.
