Over 4,000,000 German soldiers have been killed, captured, or permanently crippled, according to confidential figures compiled by the general stall of one of the United Nations, declares the London correspondent oi the New York Times. The figures are based on insurance statistics smuggled from Germany. The casualties, which occurred mainly on the Russian front, total approximately two-thirds of the piesent Reichswehr and are equal to the full strength of the Reichswehr at November 11, 1918.
