MacKenzie King, reviewing the Canadian war programme, declared that 180,000 men were overseas.-. In addition 210,000 were on active service in Canada. The navy numbered 50,000 and the Royal Canadian air force 120,000. Canada had produced 300,000 army vehicles, of which 40,000 were serving in North Africa. Canada had supplied Russia with £12,500,000 worth of tanks and the same amount of materials.
