According to a Taranaki report, when the next Parliamentary elections are held. Mr. H. G. Dickie, M.P. for Patea, will ’ not seek re-election. His decision to retire has been taken principally because of failing eyesight and a belief that a yoqriger man should' occupy the position. The Patea . seat has been held by Ml Dickie for 18 years.
