DEPARTMENT CRITICISED “It is high time that the council gave Mr. O’Grady some strong support on the Wairoa Hospital Board to stop the Health Department from running the affairs of the ratepayers, declared Mr. A. G. Nolan at yesterday's meeting of the Wairoa County Council. , ~ These remarks arose when the council was considering an appointment to the Wairoa Hospital Board owing to the resignation of Mr. H. M. B. deLautour. • “I would like to see Mr. T. M. Connell on the board. It is time that a stand was taken to stop the rot. added Mr. Nolan. “Mr. Connell should he a valuable man on the board. lam only sorry that he has not an O in front of his name,” . Mr. Connell was appointed.
