OBITUARY

MRS. A. M. BLOOMFIELD The death of Mrs Annie Milne Bloomfield occurred in the Cook Hospital yesterday after an illness lasting over a month. Mrs Bloomfield was born in St,' Andrew’s, Scotland, 75 years ago, and came to Gisborne with her family 20 years ago, having resided here over since, She was of a kindly disposition and enjoyed good health until her fatal illness. Three daughters remain to mourn their loss, the family comprising Mrs J. Scott, Scotland; Mrs .). Nelson, Gisborne; Mrs A. Brodio, Gisborne. There are also 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two sons were killed on active service in the Middle East last year, one in the Battle of Crete and one during earlier operations. The interment will take; place at the Tarulieru cemetery to-ifiorrow, the funeral leaving the residence of Mrs Nelson, Willow street, at 11 a.m. MRS. ELLEN M C MILLAN The death of Mrs. Ellen McMillan occurred at Tokomaru Bay yesterday at the age of (14 years. Mrs. McMillan was born- in Scotland, and came to New Zealand in 1914, having lived in Tokomaru Bay ever since, being prominent in social activities and welfare work. She was the wire of Mr. Donald McMillan. The funeral will leave her residence at 2.30 run. to-morrow for the Tokomaru Bay cemetery.
