THEFT OF RAZORS
The theft of two blade razors from a Wairoa hairdresser’s shop on Saturday resulted in the appearance in .the Wairoa Police Court yesterday, before Messrs. V. E. 1 Winter apd T. Sweetman, J.Fs., of twp young men, each on a different charge. William James Clark Hammond was charged with the theft of the razors, valued at £2, the property of W. H. Flint He pleaded guilty and was fined £3 and costs. James William. Spark pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving the razors, knowing them to have been stolen, and also was fined £3 and costs. j Sergeant L. T. Moore, who prosecuted. said that at 8 p.m.. on Saturday the police were informed of the theft of the razors, which belonged to customers and were .taken from a shelf. It was found that the two accused had passed from the billiard room into the saloon. Hammond, it appeared, took the razors and handed them to Spark. Eventually they were found in Spark’s possession.
