COMPANY POSTINGS
GISBORNE HOME GUARD PARADE NIGHTS FIXED GARRISON HALL IN USE’ The Garrison Hall is being used for training purposes by the Gisborne Battalion of the Home Guard this week tor the first tima, and parade nights have been arranged for the various companies. D Company is taking Monday nights, the battalion N.C.O. classes Tuesdays, C Company Wednesdays, and B Company Thursdays. A Company has arranged for its own hall cn Wednesdays, and Headquarters Company, including Division 2 Signals, will be at the High School on Wednesdays, while Division 3 Guards will be at Messrs, Bigneii and Holmes’ garage on Wednesdays. The Machine-gun Platoon will parade at the D.A.C. on Wednesdays, and the Mortar Platoon on Thursdays. Promotions are announced as follows:—C Company: Corporal C. A. Holland, to be platoon sergeant: LanceCorporal W. Cameron and Private W. Goodyear, to be corporals. A Company: Sergeant A. R. Shorland to be platoon commander (acting).
