ALLIED PRISONERS U.S. SUPPLIES FOR EAST (10.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 28. Mr. Norman H. Davis, chairman of the American Red Cross, disclosed that negotiations are under way for the operation of a mercy ship in the Pacific to maintain a continuous flow of food, clothing and other supplies for United Nations’ prisoners of war and internees in Japan and elsewhere in the Far East. He added that parcels have already been distributed to prisoners in Japan.
