LEAVE OF ABSENCE

HOSPITAL BOARD MEMBER Leave of absence for three months was granted by the Cook Hospital Board yesterday to Mr. Wilfred C. Kohn, who had joined the armed forces, an extension of his leave to be considered after that date. The chairman, Mr. M. T. Trafford. said that Mr. Kohn was a very useful member of the board, and the board should certainly give him leave of absence for the duration of the war. Mrs. Beer said that in Mr. Kohn’s absence the country members were given a majority on the board. The chairman: I think we are very fair, are we not? Mr. Hall said that Mr. Kohn was elected by the people, and he expressed the opinion that Mr. Kohn should retain his position.
