CONVICTED OF MURDER

TWO U.S. ARMY DESERTERS (9 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 18. Two army deserters, James Testerman arid Charles Lovett, were convicted of first degree murder in slaying an F. 8.1. agent, Hubert Treacy. on April 13, in Abingdon, Virginia. Treacy was slain in an Abingdon cafe when he sought to arrest a pair of deserters from Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
