GIFTS TO WAR FUNDS
AMERICAN CITIZENS (2.40 p.m.) WASHINGTON, April 13. The Treasury disclosed to-day that since December 7 it had received 5589 donations, aggregating £119,500 from Americans for the war effort. Besides money there were gifts of rings, watches and even gold-filled teeth. Several persons had contributed their life savings.
