£172 FROM SPORTS DAY (Herald Correspondent.) A meeting of the Tokomaru Bay Patriotic Committee was held on Tuesday night to receive the balance sheet in connection with the sports gala day and concert night held recently. Twenty members of the committee were present, presided over by Mr. G. Glen. The secretary, Mr. East, presented the balance sheet, which showed that £172 18s 3d had been raised, this being regarded as a fine effort. It was decided to allocate £ls to the Tokomaru Bay Patriotic Committee and the balance to the zone committee.

Mr. Glen thanked all who had helped with donations and those who had worked in making this appeal a success. Thanks alSi> were expressed to the concert party from Gisborne.
