WIN BY MATAWAI
TENNIS WITH MOTU (Per Press Association.) In the first of the series of tennis matches for the M. E. Jackson Memorial Cup, Matawai players visited Motu recently. Despite an overcast sky and a strong wind, play was entered into with enthusiasm and some good games "were witnessed. Matawai won with 15 sets to Motu's nine. Results were as follows, Matawai players being mentioned first in each case:— Combined Doubles.—Mrs. J. Collins and H. Sidney d. Miss B. Fisher and W. H. Boys, 6—5; Mrs. A. Marshall and J. Richardson. 6—2; Mrs. F. Thomas and H. Bulst d. Miss J. Boys and J. Ruru, 6—3; Mrs. Boys and G. Henry won by default. Men's Doubles.—H. Sydney and J. Collins d. Boys and Nisbett, 6—3; N.
