U.S. FIRMS MISLED
RANGE OF BANNED GOODS AUCKLAND SUGGESTION (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. That the New Zealand Supply Commission in Washington was unwittingly or otherwise misleading American business men in not making it known that a wide range of American goods could not be exported to New Zealand, was suggested by Mi - . W. A. Boucher at a meeting of the council of the Chamber of Commerce to-day. Mr. Boucher said he thought a resolution should go to the Government asking it to make it known that certain goods were entirely prohibited or, alternately, that the Plon. F. Langstone should make a trade agreement. Mr. A. Ely said that goods were being imported from America. Mr. Boucher replied that 95 per cent of the goods once permitted were now prohibited under the sixthperiod licensing schedule. The council decided that the matter be considered and reported upon by the executive.
