FUND FOR AMBULANCE

DOMINION AIR FORCE MELBOURNE FIRM’S GIFT (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, stated to-dav that funds totalling £OSO has been received from the directors and staff of the Centenary Woollen Mills, Melbourne, for the purpose of providing a fullyequipped ambulance for the use of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Mr. Fraser stated that this gift had been actuated by the war weapons appeal made recently in New Zealand, and the funds had been subscribed partly by the directors of the firm and partly by the firm’s social club. A branch of this firm trades in New Zealand under the name, of Korma Mills, Limited, Auckland, and both the parent company and the local branch had been largely concerned in the production of war material. This very fine gift, added Mr. Fraser, had been gratefully accepted by the New Zealand Government.
