FERRYING U.S. PLANES AMERICA TO AFRICA (Reed. Aug. 20, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 19. The New York Herald-Tribune, commenting on President Roosevelt's announcement of an .Atlantic ferry service to speed up the delivery of American planes to the forces in the Middle East, said it was organised three months ago by Pan-American Airways’ personnel. ; While ostensibly on leave of absence, they have been running from Miami to San Juan, thence to Trinidad, Belem, Natal, and finally Monrovia, with an alternate terminus at Bathurst
