ARMY NEWSPAPER

The Australian Army in Darwin is to publish its own newspaper, which will be sold in canteens to members of all the fighting services.ln making the announcement, the Minister for the Army, Mr. Spencer, said that the paper wouid in tabloid form, well illustrated, and published bi-weekly. Editorial and printing staffs had been recruited, and huts were being built to house plant. The newspaper would be sold to servicemen only, and would not compete with other newspapers. Agencies in every State would supply Australian news, and the Department of Information would assist in obtaining overseas and local news.
