FREE FRENCH RECRUITS
NAVAL RESERVE OFFICERS TIED-UP SHIPS IN U.S. (Reed. Aug. 18, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, . Aug. 16. The New • York Herald-Tribune states that 200 French naval reserve officers have quit the liner Normandie and other French ships in New York. The bulk have joined Free French naval vessels in England. Twenty more recently left French ships in Philadelphia.
