Air Force Cadets

1 Gisborne applicants for enrolment with the Air Force Cadets have been circularised by the Air Department regarding the arrangements being made for the commencement of training. In regard to provincial towns like Gisborne, arrangements for training will be announced after a recruiting campaign is held in the respective towns, while in regard to pupils of secondary schools an announcement of training proposals is expected when arrangements with the school principals are completed, possibly next month. Correspondence courses are to be provided for those who do not live in towns listed. It is not known how many applications have been made for enrolment from Gisborne, but a number await a start of the training course, which is scheduled to occupy 12 months.
