BACK TO JAPAN
INSTRUCTION TO SHIP U.S. CALLS CANCELLED (Rccd. Aug. 13, 10.20 a.m.) TOKIO, Aug. 12. The Japanese Information Board announced to-day that the liner Asama Maru, which has been overdue at San Francisco since August 6, is returning to Japan without touching at an American port. The vessel is carrying 98 passengers, of whom 40 are Americans, and a cargo of £750.000 worth of silk.
