WAERENGA’HIKA NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) At a meeting of the Waercnga-a-hikfi Patriotic Social Club, held recently, it was decided to Hold a welcome home function for Private W. Lister to-night. There has been a good attendance at the classes for first aid organised by the St. John Ambulance Apsocition, and held in the Parish Hall. The lecturer is Mrs. McKenzie, who has been assisted by other members of the St. John Nursing Division. Mr. and Mrs. T. Lister, Auckland, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. Lister. —Mrs. E. Morris has been spending a holiday in Auckland and Waihi. —Mrs. Mann is spending several weeks in Tauranga.—Private W. Lister has returned from Auckland.— Mr. and Mrs. F. Warrington are visiting Opotiki.—Mrs. W. Pardoe has been staying at Wharekopae.—Miss V. Ingram, Wharekopae, has been visiting this district.
