(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The second day of the Auckland Racing Club’s meeting at Ellerslie opened in beautiful weather to-day. The course was inclined to be heavy. The attendance was large. Results: — Ranfurly Handicap, of £350; 7 fur. —First Division; 3-3 Esquire, 9.13 (C. G. Goulsbro), 1; 2-2 Sharmin, 8.0 (Dye), 2; 7-9 Calula Boy, 8.10 (Gilchrist), 3. Scratched: Miss Jose, Bournemouth. One and a half lengths; half a length. Time, 1.30 2-5. Hunt Club Cup, of £350; about 2\ miles.—l-2 Pertinax, 9.11 (Fergus), ll 2-1 Hornpipe, 10.0 (Jenkins), 2; 4-4 Red Appellant, 9.0 (Turner), 3'. Scratched: Valorous. A neck; 15 lengths. Time, 5.13 3-5.
