£125 FINE IMPOSED
DUNEDIN BOOKMAKER (Per Prean Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Described by the police as being in a substantial way of business, Samuel Hartley was fined £125 by the magistrate, Mr. J. R. Bartholomew, in the Police Court this morning on a charge of bookmaking. Chief-Detective Holmes said that Hartley had been connected with betting for a considerable time and three years ago had been fined £75.
