N Mr. J. Devery. Pakowhai, who has been in ill-health, is progressing favourably, although he is still under - going treatment. —-Mrs. H. Mitchell. Rcre, who, accompanied by her small daughter, has been visiting her un-ents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Calcott, Pakowhai, is returning to her home. —Mrs. J. Cooper and her small daughter have returned to Pakowhai.—Mr., Wallace McEwen is spending a "cation with Mr. and Mrs. J. McEwen, Muriwai. —After visiting Mr.! and Mrs. H. C. Williams. “Sherwood,”! Miss Joyce Nolan has returned to her! home in Wairoa. Mr. Alan Calcott is spending a holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Calcott, Pakowhai. —Mr. J. Wyllie has returned to Muriwai for a short while and is visiting his father, Mr. Tu Wyllie.—Miss Jewel Calcott, who has been with her grandparents, Mr: and Mrs. W. Calcott, for some time, -las returned to her home in Tuai. — Mr. and Mrs. H. Hewitt, Muriwai, have received cabled advice that their son Robert, who Is on active service, s safe and well.—Mr. H. C. Williams and Miss Juliet Williams have.left for Dunedin, where Miss Williams is resuming her medical studies.
