LOYAL GISBORNE LODGE OFFICERS INSTALLED There was a good attendance of lemoers at the fortnightly meeting ol ihe Manchester Unity Oddfellows Loyal Gisborne Lodge. 9087. last light, when the main business was he installation of officers elected at le previous meeting to fill the chairs or the ensuing six months. The installing officer appointed was Vlr. F. L. Barker. P.G., president oi he Past Grands’ Lodge, and the contactors were Messrs, R. W. Wallen and 2. F. Mori. P.Gs. The following were nslalled in their new offices: 1.P.N.G.. Miss A. J. Elliott; N.G., Miss A. Koi'tc; V.G., Mr. E. W. Grigg; E.S.. Mrs. V. B. Murray; warden, Mrs. A. iV. Elliott; guardian, Mr. P. D. Niven. The officers were congratulated by the secretary, Mr. C. 11. Ambridgo, J.D.G.M.
A discussion loo!-; place regarding he difficulty of securing a full record >f members going on military service, ind the secretary urged that all members should get into touch with him before they left for camp, so as 'to acquaint themselves of 'the benefits to .vliich they were entitled.
It was reported that only a few members were on the sick list at present, blit they included some of long standing, extending over periods up to 2(i years. An enlarged framed photograph was hung in the lodge room as a presentation from Mr. A. W. Elliott. P.G. The photograph, taken in 1907, was of lodge officers and members, and proved an interesting record which the lodge accepted with thanks. After supper members played indoor bowls.
