Majestic Theatre. —“Margie"; Joyous musical farce starring Mischa Auer. Nan Grey, and Tom Brown. Joy Hodges sings the title song, and Allen Jenkins, Eddie Quill an and Edgar Kennedy supply hilarious comedy. “Before I Hang'; Thriller, starring Boris Karloff. Serial: “Winners of the West." Regent. —“ Strike Up the Band”: Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland have not previously appeared to such advantage as they do in “Strike Up the Band.” Metro-Gokhvyn-Mayer’s sparkling musical, showing at the Regent daily at 2 and 8 p.m. until Thursday. The associate programme is 'excellent. Lecturer’s Visit. — A visitor to New Zealand, Dr. Herbert Sutcliffe, D.Sc., Ph.D., F.F.Sc. (Loncl.), will arrive at Gisborne this week and will begin a series of lectures. Dr. Sutcliffe, who is a psychologist, mental analyst and metaphysician, has just completed a lecture tour of,Great Britain. Canada, and tlie United Stales.
